Business Affairs 101 – Industry Media Training Course for Screenskills

- The basics of rights and IP ownership – where does the concept originate and how does the producer secure / clear the rights;
- Development – sources of development finance and negotiating the terms of development finance deals;
- Talent engagements – writers, directors, on screen talent;
- Co-production – maximising value, establishing roles and responsibilities, sharing the spoils; and
- Broadcast, distribution and other financing agreements – getting the show financed without giving away all the rights
